By accessing or using ScanForTax ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
ScanForTax is a receipt scanning and expense tracking application. We use AI-powered optical character recognition (OCR) to extract data from receipt images and categorize expenses according to CRA T2125 tax categories.
You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.
Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually). You may cancel at any time through the billing portal. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.
You agree not to misuse the Service, including but not limited to: uploading illegal content, attempting to circumvent usage limits, reverse-engineering the Service, or using automated tools to access the Service without permission.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of all data you upload. We process your data solely to provide the Service.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. AI-extracted data may contain errors — you are responsible for reviewing and verifying all extracted information before using it for tax filing or other purposes.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScanForTax shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
